Heather Byars - The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau

 

1.  Lina is the main character of the book.  She is like me in that she cares for her family a lot, and is very inquisitive.  She is not like me because she is much more daring than I would probably be.

2.  I thnk that Doon changed the most from the beginning to the end.  At first he only wanted to fix the pipeworks and not get involved in Lina'a activities, but in the end he is committed to helping her solve the mystery.

3.  Not really.  It is a pretty unbeleviable story.  I have not lived in a city that is only lit by light bulbs and not the sun, but I have made friends with someone that at first i did not think I would be friends with.

4.  Where will they go now, and what will happen to everyone else?  That is the question I want answered.  Thank goodness there is a sequel that will tell me what happens.  It is called The People of Sparks.

5.  I loved this book, it is probably one of my favorites.  The characters are interesting, and the plot kept me on the edge of my seat.

 

Addi Wood- The Last Treasure - Janet  Anderson

1. Ellsworth and I both love a good challange but he has alot more patience than I do he waited a long time to open the box .

2. At the begenning he did not think he had much control about what went on but at the end he took charge and was a hero.

3. I have met a distant coisn that looked alot like me.

4. I don't know if Ellsworth's dad got remarried and what happened to R.C. and I don't know of a sequal but I would definently read it if there was one.

5. I loved it it was good histiorcal fiction(my favorite) and mystoy (my other favorite).

 

 

 

Andrew McCarter Swear To Howdy- Wedelin Van Draanen

1.  Russell and Joey are the main charachters of this book.  They are like me because i like playing pranks on people and messing around with them.  I'm Not like them because Joey tries to commit suicide and i would never do that.

2. I think Russell changes the most from the begging of the story to the end of the story because at the beggining of the story he is just a reggular kid who stays home all day when he meets Joey they start doing crazy stuff.

3. One or two things from the story have happened to me but other then that nothing has happened to me.

4. The one question that doesn't get answered at the end of the story is do Joey and Russell ever see each other again.

5. I think it was a great book i really liked it. 

 

 

Devin Daugherty Spiderwick Book 1 by:  Holly Black

 

1. Their are 3 main chartecers in the book.  Simeon is the kid that is most like me. I am a smart kid, so is he. We also do good in school.

2. The one that might have changed the most would be Jarod. In the begining of the book he was mean. Then at the end he is nice.

3. Yes. I used to get into trouble alot. Also Like simeon I am smart.

4. Why did Aruther Spiderwick create the book in the first place. Why did the gobabrt stael Simeon's rat.

5. I thought it was a good book to read. I really liked it because it was a short book.

 

 

 

 Jackson Fountain- top wing Matt Christopher

 

1. The main charecter is Benton and he is like me cause, he likes to play soccer. He's not like me cause he mostly plays offense.

2. I think Steve has chaned the most in the book cause in the beginning he's good in the middle he starts smoking and then he ends good again.

3. No not really everyone always passes to me they dont exclude me.

4. There are not really any unanswered questions at the end of the book except it never told how they did in the rest of the soccer season.

5. It is pretty good but, it isn't really about soccer that is my only complaint.

 

 

 

Brando Holzgrefe-Mattimeo by:Brian Jacques

1. The main character is Mattimeo he is a mischievous little kid and getts into trouble a lot. I try to be as good as I can.

2. Mattimeo changed the most because at the beginning he gets into trouble a lot but at the end he is ready to except his destiny to be a warrior.

3. No, I don't have great adventures and I've never been kidnapt.

4. It never told if Mattimeo became a warroir but, I'm sure he did. 

5. This book was a very good book just like his other books in this series because there was battling and mysteries.

 

 

 

Rachael LeRoux- May Bird and the Ever After by Jodi Anderson

1. The main character is May Bird, she is very shy and her only friend is a bald cat named somber kitty.

2. Pumkin, May's house ghost, changed the most because at the begging he was very shy around May but then he gets used to her and he act as he would regularly.

3. Well...I don't have a house ghost or have I ever been to another world but I have almost lost something dear to me.

4. There are a few question but the most important one is, What happens when she gets to the north, but there is a sequel so i will find out soon.

5. This book is definetly my favorite book ever! If you like mysterious and exiting sroties this one is a good one!

 

 

 

Austin Hall - Spiderwick book 1 the field guide by Tony DiTerlizzi and Hollty Black

1.The main character is Jared he gets in lots of trouble just like me I get in trouble a lot and get blamed for every thing I hate being the oldest and I like being the oldest because you gey more privlages.

2.Jared hated to read in the beging of the book then he finds a book that tells him the gide to living in the magical house.

3.I get in lots of trouble a lot but there are crazy things that Jared gets in trouble for like ting his sisters hair to her bed and makeing a huge mess in the kitchin.

4.Why the Boggrat took Simons mice they are very small.

5.I thought it was a good book but it was verry short.

 

 

Brett Waggoner - Wakeboarding Techniques and Tricks by: Stephanie Cooperman

1.  The main character is Todd, a professional wakeboarder.  He's different from me because he's a pro wakeboarder and I've only been wakeboarding

     for 3 years.  We're alike because we both love to wakeboard.

2.  Todd, because no matter what happened while he was learning to wakeboard he never gave up.  He kept trying until he perfected the move.

3.  One day, I just couldn't get up on the wakeboard.  The book says that somedays you can't  always get up but a good wakeboarder keeps trying.

4.  It never says how you can do a flip and a superman.

5.  It's the best book I've ever read because it's about something I like instead of about a girl getting shipped to England.

 

Eli Kahn- Fourth and Long-By: Stepen D. Smith

 

1. Alex is the main charachter in the book.  I am like Alex only in the end of the book.  Alex didn't really believe in God or go to church in the begining.  I am not like that.  Towards the end Alex starts to get more involved in the youth group.

2. Alex changed the most.  In the begining of the Alex is a jerk to the other kids during the football camp.  No one really says anything to him because his dad died.  Later on in the book Alex helps some kids and makes alot of new friends.  Also Alex's faith with God increases as the story goes on.

3. There has been very few times, but sometimes my friends and I get mad at each other.

4. If Alex was going to be the starting quarterback for his Middle School the next year.

5. I thought the book was great!  The book also was based a Christian like story. 

 

 Alex Won-Flight of the fire thief by:Terry Deary

1.Prometheus is the main character in this book,a demigod. Prometheus likes helping other people and I do too. He is different because he is Zeus's cousin.

2. Nell changed the most the person that helped Prometheus out even though she was a criminal. She changed because she was a criminal at the beginning then she helped others out at the end.

3.Nothining in this story has ever happenned to me.

4.Who was the hero at the temple of the hero.

5.This book is more than a two thunbs up. I'd say this book should get an award. It has action and greek mythology. If you like these two things read all three series of the fire thief. 

 

Allison Shrake(MilkShrake)- Perfect by: Natasha Friend

1.The main character's name is Isabelle Lee. We are different because her dad died and my dad is still living. We are also different becuase she makes herself throw up after meals and of course I don't. We are similar because we both worrie about our appearences. We are also similar because we both have annoying siblings.

2.I truely think Isabelle changed alot from the begining to the end. From the begining she wanted to be like Ashley and she didn't really care if she had an eating disorder or not. In the end she relized you can't always tell the difference between appearences and reality and she is trying to not throw up as much.

3.I have though oh I want to be like her because she is so pretty or because she is so popular but in the end I relize they are not always as they seem.

4.In the end they don't tell you what Ashley gave Isabelle for Christmas.It also doesn't really tell you what happened to Ashley and Isabelle, did they stop throwing up ever. They also didn't really tell you if Isabelle kept going to "Group."

5. This was a really good book. It changed the way I look at people, now I think they are just like me they aren't perfect. So if you're looking for a book that wiil boost your self-confiedence you should get this book. It also is a quick and easy book to read. It only has 172 pages. This was one of the best books I have ever read! I would give this book two thumbs up.

 

 

Emily Pierson- The Mailbox By Audrey Shafer

1.The main character is Gabe. We are totally different because his parents are dead and he lived with his uncle. My parents are still alive. One thing is the same about us we are both athletic and worry to much

2. Gabe changed alot because in the beginning he wouldnt do anything fun when he had time. But at the end he had sleepovers every saturday night.

3. No nothing has happened to me from this story because i dont have to live with my uncle.

4. What happened to Gabe when he was adopted by one of his teachers? And did Mr. Smitty 

5. loved this book because it is a mystery and that is my favorite  kind of books. This book changed the way I see people.

 

 

 

Brayden Long- The Old Man and the Sea By Ernest Hemingway

1. The mian character is the Old Man and he is like me because we both like to fish ,and he is different from me because he is old and I am young.

2.The Old Man changed the most, at the begining he was not very lucky and at the end he got lucky and caught a very big fish.

3.Yes, I have gone fishing and not caught anything and I have gone fishing and caught somthing.

4.There are no questions left unanwered at the end of the story.

5. I think that the book is good because I enjoy fishing.

 

 

Andrew Beeco  -  Brian’s Hunt  By Author Gary Paulsen  

1.       The main character is Brian. Brian is like me because he wonders around and tries to make life more exciting and challenging. He is different than me because he will do dangerous and wild things anyone could imagine.

2.       The person who changed the most was Suzan. Suzan changed because near the end of the story her parents die from a bear attack and she has to live without them for the rest of her life.      

3.       Something from the story did happen to me. Just like Brian can bond with animals very well, I also have that same ability.

4.       The question left unanswered is what happened to Brian at the end of the book after he slaughtered the mighty grizzly. Did he survive the sever wounds from the attack?     

5.       I thought the story was exciting and interesting.    

 

Price Roberts - Harry Potter 6th book by J.K. Rolling

 

1. The main character is Harry Potter. Harry is like me because we are both adventurious. We are different because he is more willing to get into trouble.

2. Snape, because he went from being a friend to harry to then becomeing a great enemy.

3. No nothing in this book has ever happend to me.

4. The last question is why did Snape kill one of the hero's Dumbledore.

5. I loved it because it had a lot of mystery and kept you guessing.

 

 

 Madison Hemmings- Mary Kate and Ashley the Fun House by:not sure

 The main characters are Mary Kate and Ashely. Mary Kate and Ashely are like me because they both don't get scared very easily. We are different because they are dare devils and I am not. 

Mary Kate changed because Mary Kate gets where she is not so dare devilish and starts getting scared.

Nothing in the book has ever happened to me except going in a fun house and running out because I got really scared.

Elizabeth E- The Tail of Emily Windsnap by Liz Kessler

1. The main character is Emily Windsnap. She is like me because she has good times and bad times in middle school but she is not like me because she is a mermaid and I am FAR from being a mermaid!!!

2. The character that changed the most was Emily's mom. At the beginning of the story she didn't want Emily to go swim because she thought that since Emily was part mermaid, she would find out that she was part mermaid. At the end of the story, she knew that Emily found ou that she was part mermaid and she let her swim as much as she wanted, she didn't have to sneak out anymore.

3. Yes it has. Mean girls have bossed me around before!!!

4. If Julia became Emily's friend again and if Mandy is going to turn nice since she stole Julia from Emily!!!!!!

5. It was one of the best books I have ever read. My favorite part was at the end when Emily proved to Mandy that she didn't care what she said about her to her other friends. I can't tell you what happened because then that would give away the hole book!!!! :-)
